Job summary

Acelero Learning, Inc. seeks a Head Start Teacher to lead a classroom of 3–4-year-olds in Philadelphia.

You will implement a child-centered curriculum, collaborate with families and staff, and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports literacy, numeracy and social skills. You will document progress through observations, incorporate IEPs for children with disabilities, and partner with families to promote development across settings.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Physical exam and background checks are required.
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implements a child-centered curriculum and learning environment that promotes development for children of all abilities.
• Works collaboratively with an assistant teacher, family members and staff to support positive outcomes.
• Documents progress using observations and anecdotal notes to tailor curriculum.
• Provides developmentally and culturally appropriate experiences and ensures safety per licensing requirements.
