Qualifications

• 3–5+ years HDD experience with large-diameter drills.
• Strong leadership and safety-focused operations management.
• Ability to read bore plans and utility maps.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily drill operations for large-diameter bores, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Operate or supervise operation of large HDD rigs including setup and bore path execution.
• Oversee tooling selection including mud motors, grid bores, gyro bores, and cutting heads.
• Coordinate with locator to ensure accurate steering and depth control.
• Manage drilling fluid requirements and mud system performance.
• Train and direct crew members including laborers and operators.
• Ensure safety compliance, PPE, and environmental controls.
• Communicate progress and issues to operations leadership.
