Job summary

Motive is seeking a Security Engineer, Hardware Security to partner with Engineering and Hardware teams. You will focus on design reviews, threat modeling, and building scalable secure-by-default components that empower hardware engineers to ship securely.

You will drive hardware security architecture reviews, define security requirements for embedded systems and firmware, and lead security testing across IoT and cloud infrastructure, shaping product safety and resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Hardware Security experience.
• Experience creating security-by-design patterns for new devices and platforms.
• Hands-on development in Python and C/C++.
• Knowledge of hardware root of trust, secure boot, attestation, and device identity.
• Experience designing and validating security controls for hardware and low-level systems.
• Experience in cloud, runtime, supply chain and application security.

Responsibilities

• Build the hardware and embedded security baseline and process across Motive devices.
• Drive relationships with hardware engineering to prioritize findings and remediation.
• Identify and assess hardware security risks across the product lifecycle.
• Lead hardware security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security testing.
• Define and review security requirements for hardware platforms and embedded systems.
• Drive end-to-end security for device hardware across IoT and cloud security infrastructure.
