Job summary

Industrial Scientific is seeking an experienced HQA Manager to lead hardware testing and validation across our product development lifecycle. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure rigorous test plans, and maintain compliance with safety agencies, while mentoring technicians and delivering high-quality validation outcomes.

You will travel to customer sites and suppliers to resolve issues, applying analytical, data-driven approaches to testing and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited engineering college or university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in hardware life cycle testing and validation.
• Progressive experience managing testing and validation processes.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and problem troubleshooting.
• Experience establishing best practices for testing.
• Experience in electronics packaging testing.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute testing processes and protocols for component and system level specs.
• Ensure testing complies with agency approvals (UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, MSHA).
• Lead team to troubleshoot products using data-driven methods.
• Drive innovation in testing for accelerated life testing in field.
• Maintain HQA process documentation and enforce validation processes.
• Mentor HQA technicians and travel to customer locations (<10%).
