Job summary

Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead hardware engineering programs from concept to production. This in-person role coordinates with design, product stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver world-class products and manage budgets and staffing.

You will drive the program through disciplined management, maintain cost models, and report progress and risks to executives while shaping the schedule and scope to hit targets.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of a technical product design life cycle and problem solving.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to drive decision making and strategy.
• Business-minded and able to evaluate program decisions in dollars.
• Experience communicating with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Experience creating program management tools for scheduling, risk, and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Ship the best product as fast as possible.
• Manage strategy, planning, execution for complex products from concept to production.
• Own the program budget and staffing plans.
• Create and maintain product cost models and ensure targets.
• Act as a key link between program team and stakeholders; report to leadership.
• Define scope and create program plans within cost and schedule.
• Monitor progress, evaluate quality, manage risks and communicate status.
