Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineering Program Manager in Cupertino, CA to drive the development, validation, and assembly of mechanical components for new Home products, from architecture to mass production.

You will lead cross‑functional teams and external vendors, manage prototypes, schedules, and design reviews, and communicate status up to executive management. The role requires a strong ME background and proven PM experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in program management or mechanical engineering design in product development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive upstream component/module builds to fulfill system engineering build demands.
• Manage design releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and vendors.
• Collaborate across engineering teams, operations, industrial design, and vendor partners to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Understand technical issues and design trade-offs; drive to closure with stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; facilitate conflict resolution across teams.
• Create and maintain complex project schedules for product enclosure and internal mechanical components.
• Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management as priorities shift.
