Job summary
United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead the design and validation of the company’s latest products from concept to mass production. You will work directly with JDM partners to ship cutting‑edge hardware, owning schematics, layout, and test plans in a fast‑paced, in‑person role based in San Mateo, CA.
You will collaborate with a global team of engineers and product managers, own hardware requirements, prototype concepts, and drive EMI/EMC, thermal, and calibration
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
- 3+ years of experience designing new electronics products.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering for new products from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop new products.
- Own component selection, schematics, and layout per architecture.
- Maintain Hardware Requirements Document with system and component specs.
- Prototype concepts, board bring‑up, debugging, testing and validation.
- Build test plans with JDM/ODM partners; lead EMI/EMC, thermal, OTA tests.
- Guide JDM teams and work with manufacturing through EVT/DVT/PVT to production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to review designs and troubleshoot issues.
- Lead compliance and regulatory efforts for hardware products.
