Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Manager, Operations Program Manager to lead a talented team responsible for hardware programs end-to-end, from New Product Introduction through mass production. The role drives manufacturing excellence, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Product, and Finance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in hardware operations or engineering leadership, with proven people management and global factory

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Hardware Operations, Technical Program Management, or Engineering Leadership across NPI and sustaining/mass production.
• At least 3 years in a formal people management role.
• Expertise across EVT through MP ramp, sustaining, and all Hardware disciplines (EE, ME, ID) and Supply Chain functions.
• Significant on-site factory-floor experience with international manufacturing facilities.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate with C-suite leaders.
• Financially savvy with experience managing large-scale budgets.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership to mentor a team of Operations Program Managers across NPI and Sustaining programs.
• Drive supply chain readiness and ensure on-time delivery from EVT to mass production.
• Oversee global factory operations and executive relationships with contract manufacturers.
• Lead NPI execution from concept through PRQ with Engineering and Product Management.
• Guide post-ramp qualification and implement product changes due to shortages, quality, or cost.
• Partner with executives to align supply with demand and mitigate disruptions.
• Architect long-term capacity plans and multi-million dollar Capex deployment.
• Collaborate on Materials Management strategies to hedge risks and dual-source when needed.
• Own the Opex/Capex budget and provide variance reporting.
