Job summary

D1 Training is seeking a motivated Assistant General Manager to lead the day-to-day gym operations, supervise staff, and drive member satisfaction. You will partner with the General Manager to promote membership sales, ensure safety, and maintain high service standards for a growing athletic-based facility.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in supervisory roles within fitness or hospitality, with strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with gym software and POS systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in fitness or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily gym operations to ensure smooth, efficient performance.
• Supervise staff including trainers, instructors, and front desk personnel.
• Hire, onboard, train, and schedule team members; conduct regular performance reviews.
• Improve member experience by addressing needs and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Support membership sales goals through tours and lead generation.
• Assist in budgeting, expenses, payroll, and inventory control.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and proper emergency procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the General Manager and leadership team.
