The Montessori School of San Antonio is seeking an experienced certified MontessoriLower Elementary Lead Guide for the2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position with benefits. The ideal candidate would be a seasoned professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willing to partner with parents and collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide a nurturing authentic Montessori program for students. Located on 24 acres thirteen miles north of downtown San Antonio, The Montessori School of San Antonio is an established, mission-driven organization that has been in operation for 50 years serving children Pre-K through eighth grade.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementing the Montessori philosophy and methodology for children ages6-9
• Support and facilitate the unique growth of each individual student
• Supervise a Classroom Assistant
• Collaborate and plan with theLower Elementary team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Lower Elementary (Elementary I)Certification from an accredited AMS, AMI or MACTE program
• Bachelor's degree
• At least three years experience teaching in a Montessori classroom
• Excellent communication skills
• Compassionate attitude
• Understanding of child development
• Professionalism, including attendance, positivity, and flexibility

Preferred Qualifications

• More thanthree years experience teaching in a Montessori classroom
