Job summary

Pilotcompany is seeking a dedicated travel center associate to oversee shift operations at our Midland, TX location. You will manage 1–2 cashiers, process cash, credit, and debit transactions, and ensure high-quality guest service.

Responsibilities include end-of-shift reporting, adherence to alcohol/tobacco guidelines, and assisting with deli, cleaning, and stocking tasks. Weekly pay and benefits are provided where applicable.

• Lead a shift of 1–2 cashiers to process all cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close-out procedures
• Follow guidelines for sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol/tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggestive selling to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints per company processes; resolve conflicts and report to management
• Determine break schedules and team placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, making coffee)
• Model behaviors supporting company purpose and support guests and team members
• Ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions.

Essential Functions

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $13.25 - $18.75 / hour
