Job summary

Pilotcompany is seeking a capable team lead at our Peculiar, MO location to supervise 1–2 cashiers and handle transactions efficiently. You’ll ensure a clean, organized work area and promote products using in-store methods. Excellent guest service and adherence to policies are required for this role.

Responsibilities include end-of-shift reporting, break scheduling, and assisting with travel center tasks. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more, with a flexible schedule and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a small team.
• Ability to process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Familiarity with alcohol/tobacco sale guidelines.

• Follow guidelines for sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Promote and upsell products using suggested selling methods.
• Deliver quality service to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints per company processes; escalate as needed.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement.
• Assist with other travel center tasks (deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, coffee).
• Model behaviors supporting the company purpose and assist guests and team members.
• Ensure activities comply with rules, policies, and procedures.

Job description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions.

Pay Rates Starting between: $15.00 - $18.75 / hour

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned
