Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Group Facilitator for the Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program (IPAEP) in Massachusetts.

The role involves co-facilitating weekly groups both virtually and in person, using an established curriculum, and focusing on trauma-informed practices to promote safe, reflective process and long-term behavior change. The ideal candidate will have completed the MA DPH-approved IPAE program with certification, group facilitation experience,

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DPH approved Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program completion and certification.
• Experience in group facilitation and reflective listening.
• Understanding of IPV dynamics within power and control contexts.
• Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
• Valid MA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate weekly intervention groups virtually and in person using the established curriculum.
• Teach and model problem-solving skills and non-violent behavior options.
• Establish rapport in a non-judgmental, objective manner to build trust and elicit feedback.
• Model boundary setting, confrontation, reframing, paraphrasing, reflection and clarification.
• Communicate with referring community as needed or requested.
• Confront acts of IPV and other counterproductive behaviors.
• Document progress Notes, attendance, and payment records for each participant.
