Job summary

Spartanburg Housing currently has an opening for a full-time Landscaper / Groundskeeper. Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 4 pm, and Friday, 7 am to 11 am.

Responsibilities include supervising landscape projects, directing inmate program, coordinating with maintenance, performing pruning, mulching, and trash removal. A high school diploma or GED and two years of landscaping experience plus one year in leadership are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of trade landscaping experience and at least one year in leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises installation and modification of landscape project sites.
• Directs inmate program and oversees groundskeeping inmates and supervision.
• Coordinates with maintenance regarding work orders.
• Performs landscaping duties: pruning, raking, mowing, mulching, removing trash.
• Determines equipment, materials, and maintenance required; inspects deliveries.
