Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces at multiple sites. You will clean, water, prune, mulch, and operate equipment while following safety protocols and company policies. The role includes guiding a grounds team, training staff, and reporting hazards.

Shifts are Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with an hourly wage of $17.50–$18.50. A valid driver's license may be required, and prior groundskeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year related experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Completed safety training certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.Stops at risk behaviors of others and self
• Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills.
• Provide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by Supervisor
• Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed
• Trach equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Monitor employees proper use pf personal protective equipment and supplies
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Other duties as assigned

• Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED – preferred
• One year related experience and/or training – preferred
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs.
• Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements
• Completed all safety and task training certifications.
• Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
