Job summary

SBM in Hawaii seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain estate landscapes, safety, cleanliness, and beauty across sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, fountains, planters, and other grounds features.

You will operate and maintain grounds equipment, manage irrigation, plant seeds, mulch, apply fertilizers, and perform minor repairs while ensuring compliance with safety rules and team coordination. A high school diploma or GED and basic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Six months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Certificates, licenses, registrations: Driver's license may be required; safety and task training certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of PPE.
• Lead small projects and communicate with management and coworkers.
• Mow or edge lawns and maintain grounds using power mowers and edge equipment.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment.
• Maintain irrigation systems and install irrigation materials as necessary.
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees and plants; apply fertilizers and mulch as needed.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of green waste and trash; respond to trouble calls.

Education

High school diploma / GED

Six months related experience

Driver's license may be required

• Maintainirrigationsystemandinstallirrigationmaterialsasnecessary
• Useirrigationmethodstoadjusttheamountofwaterconsumptionandtopreventwaste
• Waterandirrigatelawns,trees,orplantsusingportablesprinklersystems
• Plantseeds,bulbs,foliage,floweringplants,grass,groundcovers,trees,orshrubbsandapplymulchforprotection,usinggardeningtools
• Applyfertilizer,compost,mulchandotheramendments
• Gather,remove,anddisposeofgreen-wasteand/ortrashmaterials
• Respondto“troublecalls”
• Assisthousecrewpreparingamenitiesasnecessary,includingbutnotlimitedtoboatpreparationand/ormaintenanceandsettingkayaks,paddleboards,andATVs

Qualification

• Educationand/orExperience:Highschooldiploma/GED–preferred
