This semi-skilled position combines skilled grounds work with leadership responsibilities, requiring prior lead-worker experience and a high school diploma. Expect multi-area tasks, safety awareness, and occasional event support.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
• Three or more years of laboring work experience, with at least two years as a lead worker or supervisor.
• Valid Florida Driver License required; CDL may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees field operations for landscape maintenance and construction within City Parks.
• Provides leadership/guidance to crew members.
• Performs skilled grounds and landscaping tasks (pruning, mowing, herbicide/fertilizer, etc.).
• Operates motorized equipment (mowers, tractors, backhoe trucks, dump trucks, trailers).
• Maintains and repairs equipment; performs preventative maintenance.
