Job summary

Hall County Parks & Recreation is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker in Gainesville, GA to perform skilled and manual labor maintaining park grounds and recreation facilities, operating light to medium construction equipment.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain playgrounds, buildings, and grounds, read simple plans, and assist in building and paving projects. Valid driver's license required; able to lift up to 50 lbs; regular attendance expected.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write.
• Two years related experience preferred.
• Valid Class I Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and traffic rules.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor, mower, and light to medium construction equipment.
• Performs minor repairs on equipment and vehicles.
• Inspects playgrounds and facilities; documents inspections and repairs.
• Maintains park grounds, buildings, pavilions and restrooms.
• Cleans facilities and prepares fields for events.
