Virgin Galactic is seeking a Lead Mechanic, GSE, for its Ground Support Equipment team in Truth or Consequences, NM. This full-time role, with relocation assistance, demands at least six years of mechanical experience and a year in a lead position, plus travel ability.

Competenze

Minimum of 6 years mechanical experience.
Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/lead position.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Ability to interpret maintenance manuals.
High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Strong communication and teamwork.
Safety-focused with PPE awareness.

Mansioni

Ensure timely and quality maintenance on GSE, SGSE, and fleet.
Perform diagnostic procedures to determine repairs.
Create and execute repair plans, order parts, and communicate delays.
Assist with mechanical and electric repairs; welding with MIG, stick, or acetylene.
Daily preoperational inspection of gear for serviceability.
Charge or fuel as needed.
Maintain a clean, showroom-quality workspace.
Ensure safety and FOD awareness; follow regulatory protocols.
Coach and transfer expertise to team to drive projects to completion.
Maintain timeliness and execution of tasks and deliverables.
