Job summary

Virgin Galactic is seeking a mid-level Avionics/A&P Technician (Space Wrench) to support our Space Flight System maintenance at Spaceport America in Las Cruces, NM. This hands-on role blends aerospace experience with Spaceline maintenance development and requires strong attention to detail and excellent people skills. Relocation assistance is available.

The U.S. base salary ranges from $64,235 to $90,235 per year, with benefits and potential incentive pay.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 65 A&P license required.
• Passport and driver’s license required.
• Strong understanding of avionics systems and troubleshooting.
• Willing to travel and be on-call.
• Ability to obtain Air Operations Area (AOA) access.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair on Space Flight System vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft subsystems incl. propulsion, avionics, fuel, ECS, life support, hydraulics.
• Perform machine tool work and composite repairs related to maintenance.
• Use avionics test equipment and keep up with new testing tools.
• Ensure records are completed and aircraft returned to service.
