Job summary

Reeves Construction Company is seeking a Grading Foreman based in Macon, GA. The candidate will supervise grading operations, read plans, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while guiding a crew on daily site activities.

The role emphasizes strong communication, proven leadership, and the ability to manage equipment and grades, with a focus on safe, efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in roadway and site construction.
• Knowledge of traffic control standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate grading equipment such as dozers, excavators, motor graders, scrapers and rollers.
• Must communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
• Must possess a valid, current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises various phases of a grading operation, in a safe and productive manner.
• Reads and interprets plans; sets and checks grade.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates daily activities for the crew.
• Ensures environmental, health and safety regulations are followed.
• Maintains daily records of project facts, events and conditions.
• Ensures equipment is safe and well maintained.
