Job summary

Salisbury Country Club in Midlothian, Virginia, seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to lead the day-to-day maintenance of our 27-hole facility. Reporting to the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds, you will supervise a team of assistants, oversee irrigation, cultural practices, budgeting, and work with other departments to deliver exceptional course conditions and member satisfaction.

The ideal candidate combines strong agronomic knowledge with proven leadership, is licensed pesticide applicator

Qualifications

Degree in Turf Management, Agronomy, or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience as Assistant Superintendent.
Pesticide Applicator’s License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Valid driver’s license.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily golf course maintenance and operations across 27 holes and practice facilities.
Plan and execute cultural practices, moisture management, pest control, and course conditioning.
Manage and develop staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
Assist with irrigation operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Assist in annual budgeting and capital project planning.
Coordinate with other departments and serve as a professional representative of the grounds team.
Communicate effectively with members and attend club and departmental meetings.
