Job summary

Troon is seeking a full-time Lead Mechanic at Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati, OH. You will supervise the mechanical team across our portfolio, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, and mentor four other mechanics to maintain high standards of reliability.

A company vehicle is provided for travel to other properties as needed, and you will track parts, keep maintenance records, and manage related expenses to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• This role requires leadership and mechanical expertise in golf course equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a preventive maintenance program on equipment and orders parts as needed.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects on golf maintenance equipment.
• Performs mower grinding/sharpening, motor/ reel overhaul, and braking system adjustments.
• Performs machining or welding for repair fittings.
• Manages maintenance expenses, parts inventory, and fuel inventories.
• Keeps accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment and repair tools; schedules preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical troubles and schedules appropriate maintenance work.
• Organizes a clean and safe maintenance area.
