Job summary

The Crosby Club, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a full-time Head Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of golf course maintenance equipment. As part of Troon, you will oversee preventative maintenance, parts purchasing, and cost control while ensuring equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has a college or technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a Machanic Certification from the Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training accepted.
• Valid Driver’s License and Mechanics Certificate from Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar.

Responsibilities

• Performs major and mechanical repairs on gasoline and diesel equipment.
• Maintains a preventative maintenance program and tracks parts and expenses.
• Inspects and repairs mechanical defects on golf course maintenance equipment.
• Grinds/sharpens mowers, overhauls motors and braking systems.
• Maintains records of maintenance and parts inventories.
• Adheres to safety practices and maintains reliable attendance.
