Job summary

InnoForge in Los Angeles is seeking a Lead GNC Engineer to own the GNC subsystem from development through flight. You’ll shape the architecture, define requirements and budgets, and develop GNC algorithms for flight software.

You’ll lead modelling, simulation and Monte Carlo analysis, oversee hardware trades and verification, and guide a small team. 5+ years in GNC with spaceflight lifecycle experience is typical; US clearance or eligibility required.

We’re working with a Space Tech company who are growing significantly after recent large contract wins.

They’re looking for a Lead GNC Engineer to take ownership of the GNC subsystem from early development through to flight.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the architecture, make key technical decisions and build a GNC capability around a completely new spacecraft platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the architecture and development of the GNC subsystem


• Define subsystem requirements, pointing budgets and alignments


• Develop GNC algorithms for implementation within flight software


• Lead modelling, simulation and Monte Carlo analysis


• Own GNC hardware trades and component selection


• Lead GNC verification and validation

We’d like to speak with engineers who have:

• 5+ years of GNC experience


• Spacecraft, satellite or closely related aerospace experience


• Strong modelling and simulation capability


• Experience taking systems through a full engineering lifecycle

This could suit someone already operating as a GNC Lead, or a strong senior engineer ready to take broader technical ownership.

You’ll be joining a small engineering team where the work you do will have a very visible impact on the vehicle and mission.
