Job description

Recruitment Leader | Driving Career Growth in Aerospace, Defense, Space & Semiconductors

About Us

We’re a small but ambitious space company building the next generation of spacecraft systems. Our team is tight-knit, fast-moving, and passionate about turning bold ideas into flight-ready hardware. If you want to make a direct impact on real missions—and see your work go to space—this is the place for you.

The Role

We’re looking for a GNC Engineer to take a leading role in developing the algorithms, software, and flight‑ready logic that ensure our vehicles know where they are, where they’re going, and how to get there safely.

You’ll own GNC functionality end-to-end: modeling, simulation, analysis, implementation, and testing. Expect hands‑on work, close collaboration with avionics, software, and mission design teams, and opportunities to shape the core architecture of our flight systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement GNC algorithms including state estimation, attitude determination, and control laws
  • Develop and maintain high‑fidelity simulation environments
  • Perform mission and trajectory analysis for spacecraft maneuvers
  • Work closely with software and avionics teams to integrate and verify flight software
  • Support hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, environmental testing, and flight readiness activities
  • Analyze flight data and support anomaly resolution
  • Contribute to shaping architectures, standards, and best practices across the GNC domain

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong background in classical and modern control theory
  • Experience with state estimation (e.g., Kalman filtering, EKF/UKF)
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and/or MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with spacecraft or robotic systems modeling/simulation
  • Excellent problem‑solving ability and comfort owning complex technical challenges
  • Ability to thrive in a small‑team, high‑responsibility environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with attitude determination sensors and actuators (e.g., reaction wheels, star trackers, IMUs)
  • Knowledge of orbital mechanics and mission analysis tools
  • Hardware‑in‑the‑loop or real‑time systems experience
  • Flight software or embedded systems background
  • Previous experience in small‑sat or launch vehicle programs

Why Join Us

  • Direct ownership of mission‑critical systems
  • No red tape—your ideas and decisions matter
  • Opportunities to see your work tested, launched, and flown
  • Competitive compensation, equity options, and flexible work arrangements
Seniority Level
  • Mid‑Senior level
