Job summary

GeoSearch is seeking a Consulting GIS Specialist — Service Center Leader and Site Supervisor/Application Developer to lead enterprise geospatial services for federal clients. This deployment-based, on-call role requires proximity to Sacramento, CA, and will oversee staff, GIS infrastructure, and custom ESRI-powered applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 8 years of progressive GIS experience, including enterprise GIS and app development.
• 3 years in supervisory or team leadership role.
• ESRI platform expertise: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online.
• Programming: Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET.
• Experience with geospatial databases (SQL Server, ArcSDE) and Web GIS.
• Ability to obtain federal security clearance; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the GIS Service Center and staffing.
• Supervise GIS specialists, developers, and technicians; assign tasks and monitor quality.
• Provide administrative oversight including staffing, training, and travel planning.
• Ensure compliance with client policies, security, and governance.
• Prepare and deliver status and management reports.
• Oversee enterprise GIS systems, cloud environments, and data integrity.
• Lead design and development of custom GIS apps and dashboards.
• Provide advanced geospatial analysis to support programs.
• Support client engagement, training, and collaboration.
• Plan strategic innovations to improve service delivery.
