Job summary

Terrestris seeks a Consulting GIS Specialist to oversee the CGBGIS Service Center operations, manage GIS production, and lead enterprise GIS development for mission‑critical programs. The role emphasizes ESRI platform expertise, programming, and team leadership across geospatial projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in GIS production with ESRI software, and 3+ years in GIS programming and automation (Python, Arcade, ModelBuilder).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Minimum 3–5 years of GIS production experience utilizing ESRI software.
Minimum 3 years of experience with GIS programming and automation use: Python, Arcade, ModelBuilder.
Experience supporting GIS/CAD environments and network administration.
Experience developing solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ESRI JavaScript APIs, and Enterprise geodatabases.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the CGBGIS Service Center, including workload management, team supervision, GIS production quality, database maintenance, user support, training, and delivery of GIS solutions.
Manage daily operations, prioritization, scheduling, resource allocation, and project delivery.
Supervise GIS programmers, production staff, and technical personnel.
Oversee GIS production quality, database updates, user access management, training, and technical support.
Develop GIS solutions using ESRI technologies and automate workflows.
