Job summary

VHB is seeking a Geomatics Survey Manager to lead and scale the Survey/Geomatics group in the Southeast, based in Orlando or Tampa, FL. You will oversee project lifecycles, develop service line strategies, and drive client relationships across ALTA, highway, and utility surveys using GPS, UAS, and LiDAR technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing Survey/Geomatics projects, including 5+ years of client/staff/project management.
• Licensed Florida Land Surveyor is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, and Trimble Connect.
• Proficiency in field and office land surveying including boundary/topographic surveys and construction stakeout.
• Experience with UAVs and terrestrial scanning; LiDAR processing software is preferred.
• Experience with ESRI software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs service line strategies and initiatives that support the firm’s plan and local business planning.
• Aligns service offerings to market requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive hires, client development, and technical excellence.
• Develop growth plans and identify market opportunities and strategies, such as key hires and development of business opportunities.
• Monitors and maintains the financial performance of the Survey/Geomatics group.
• Manages full project life cycles from scoping and planning through execution and delivery.
