Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Lead Software Product Owner to shape and govern critical genomics software products within a regulated CLIA laboratory environment. You’ll gather user needs, translate them into epics, and coordinate with clinical development, operations, QA, and engineering to drive delivery.

You will lead cross-functional teams, define roadmaps, and ensure documentation and validation align with SDLC and CSV requirements while upholding Abbott’s quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and recommend technical software solutions during the product lifecycle across conceptualization, product roadmap development, execution, and launch based on business goals and user needs.
• Proactively understand current business processes and conceptualize innovative solutions to create efficiencies.
• Drive and track execution of product strategy and roadmap by creating release plans and leading sprint grooming, planning, and delivery.
• Gather and define user needs and translate them into epics and a prioritized backlog of user stories with functional requirements for clinical genomics workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and complete software product strategy and requirements.
• Produce flow diagrams, dataflow maps, wireframes, and prototypes to illustrate end-user use cases.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, requirement documentation, and user documentation for end-users and leadership.
• Maintain SDLC and CSV documentation and provide end-user support as needed.
• Uphold Abbott values and maintain regular attendance.
