Job summary

communitycare-centralhealth is seeking a Lead Accountant to act as the technical lead for the General Ledger, ensuring the integrity of accounting records and timely financial reporting. The role partners with the Controller and Accounting Manager to identify process improvements and ensure GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong GAAP knowledge, extensive GL experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 5 years progressive accounting experience including GL and month-end close.
• Experience with GAAP and federal grant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close process and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain General Ledger and chart of accounts; post complex journal entries.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests; support internal controls.
