Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six years of relevant work experience.
• At least two years of experience at Equipment Operator, Principal level.
• Training in the equipment used at this assignment.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be used.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction and specialized equipment for gas infrastructure installation and repair.
• Act as lead operator on complex tasks and mentor crew members.
• Ensure compliance with PHMSA, OSHA and other standards in all operations.
• Interpret drawings, schematics and maps to avoid underground conflicts.
• Oversee pre-operation inspections and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, planning and coordinating daily tasks; act as supervisor in absence.
