Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Lead Thermal Fluids Engineer to provide technical leadership for design, analysis, and optimization of gas turbine cooling systems, SAS, and clearance management.

You will mentor a global team and influence technology roadmaps for next-generation turbines. The role focuses on advancing thermal-fluid simulations, validating models, and driving fleet performance improvements across the product line.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • 10+ years of thermal-fluid engineering, gas turbine design, or turbomachinery experience.
  • Expertise in gas turbine cooling, SAS, sealing, and clearance management.
  • Proven technical leadership in large engineering programs and mentoring teams.
  • Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and turbomachinery.
  • US work authorization; export control requirements apply.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical leadership for cooling air systems and clearance design.
  • Establish standards and roadmaps for thermal-fluid simulation methodologies.
  • Lead reviews and advise on complex design challenges and fleet issues.
  • Mentor thermal-fluid engineers across a global organization.
  • Guide innovation for turbine performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Translate analyses into actionable product development recommendations.
  • Lead development and validation of advanced thermal-fluid models.
  • Analyze SAS, cooling circuits, seating and thermal growth behaviors.
