Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Combustion Lead to drive the design and development of low-emission, high-performance gas turbine combustion systems. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and partner with global engineering groups to push fuel flexibility, emissions reduction, efficiency, and decarbonization.

You’ll champion innovations, manage milestones and budgets, and accelerate digital engineering methods while following PDP. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of combustion design experience in R&D, product development, analysis, testing and manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for project work and global collaboration.
  • Experience with SAP, Teamcenter and basic programming or data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical input to current and next-generation combustion systems.
  • Develop design specifications (PDS/PB) based on PRS.
  • Report project status to Engineering Management and escalate issues timely.
  • Represent Engineering in internal and external communications and meetings.
  • Lead development programs with accountability for team disciplines, milestones, and budgets.
  • Advance decarbonization goals via next-generation combustion hardware and PDP adherence.
