Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Head of Propulsion Engineering to lead the design, development, and scaling of advanced gas turbine engine systems. You will shape the propulsion roadmap, mentor a growing team, and drive hardware development from concept through testing.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring deep expertise in turbine design, process establishment, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in gas turbine engine design and development.
• Experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced or startup environments.
• Experience taking products from concept through test and production.
• Willing to work in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and integration of gas turbine propulsion systems from concept through testing and production.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in architecture, analysis, and design reviews.
• Drive first-principles engineering approaches to propulsion challenges.
• Oversee performance modeling, thermodynamic cycle analysis, and component-level design (compressors, combustors, turbines).
• Ensure robust validation, testing, and iteration cycles aligned with development timelines.
