Job summary

CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Gas Pipeline Designer for our Houston, Texas office. You will lead design efforts, interpret survey data, and coordinate complex plan sets for pipelines and utilities. The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in design, proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation, and strong communication with project teams. Office-based work with occasional field coordination is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles, codes and standards.
• Ability to analyze data and produce design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for project components with limited supervision.
• Develop and refine plan, profile, cross-section and utility drawings.
• Interpret survey data and utility records to create constructible designs.
• Translate concepts into coordinated design deliverables.
• Incorporate redlines and review comments to improve design efficiency.
• Perform design calculations for grading, utilities and drainage.
