Job summary

Oil Authority in Holland seeks a Supervisor, Project Design to lead a team planning and coordinating natural gas infrastructure projects across the Holland region, guiding work from concept to construction while balancing contractor schedules, municipal requirements, permitting, and customer expectations.

You will collaborate with planners, inspectors, municipalities, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule, while developing policies

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of construction, utility operations, infrastructure, or project coordination experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of gas main and service installation, maintenance, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and enforce safety programs for applicable employees.
• Prepare and support project plans related to DIMP, TIMP, Public Improvement, and operational programs.
• Direct project assignments to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget delivery with quality.
• Develop and implement departmental policies aligned with company goals.
• Ensure internal controls, procedures, and processes are followed.
• Review work processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Train, coach, mentor, and develop Project Design staff.
• Manage day-to-day work processes and project priorities in the department.
• Partner with operations, contractors, municipalities, inspectors, and stakeholders to support execution.
• Schedule and meet with customers and authorities as needed.
• Maintain professional knowledge through training and publications.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment and operational excellence.
