Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Senior Gas Project Engineer to lead projects in the Portland area. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Mechanical Engineering background, a PE license, and at least 10 years of natural gas experience in consulting or operator roles.

You will coordinate with clients, prepare basemaps and construction drawings, and oversee multi-disciplinary projects. You will develop energization procedures, BOMs, and O&M manuals while ensuring CFR 192/193 compliance.

Qualifications

• Senior level position requiring proven ability to perform duties through prior employment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineering license and/or GTI Competent Engineer Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work and coordinate with project stakeholders to support client goals.
• Produce basemap and construction drawings using AutoCAD for review by client and regulators.
• Develop energization/de-energization procedures and provide BOMs and material specs.
• Manage inter-disciplinary projects, O&M manuals, and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Perform complex engineering calculations (stress, pipe flow, heat transfer, external loading).
• Coordinate with landowners to obtain right-of-way/easements and assist with permits.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with marketing and SOP development.
