Job summary

CTI - Gas Detection Specialists is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the development of next-generation gas detection instrumentation. The role bridges technical design and project execution, overseeing the product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience with 3+ years managing instrumentation projects.
• Experience with sensor technologies, instrumentation, or ruggedized electronics.
• Experience in ISO-style QMS and safety/location standards.
• Proficient with Jira or MS Project; CAD/EDA tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver instrumentation projects on time and within budget.
• Develop product specifications and perform cost/margin analyses with stakeholders.
• Drive design, prototyping, testing, and validation under a QMS framework.
• Create detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and manage risks.
• Conduct design reviews, FMEA, and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors to transition from R&D to manufacturing.
