Job summary

Flogistix Lp in Midland, TX seeks a field service-oriented technician to develop and maintain profitable relationships with natural gas producing customers in the defined geographic territory. You will perform major maintenance, troubleshoot compressor packages, and ensure regulatory compliance across diverse sites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing engine and control system failures, submitting maintenance data, and identifying opportunities for service growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Customer focused attitude.
• 3 months - 5 years of experience in maintaining natural gas compression equipment.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Set of hand tools up to 1 ¼".
• Proficient English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
• Computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass drug screens and background checks.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of purging and loading practices and procedures is a plus.
• Ability to interpret compressor performance runs and engine horsepower calculations.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes cost effective and safe customer runtime reliability.
• Perform major maintenance services on company rental fleet compressor packages.
• Ensure compressor package environmental regulation compliance.
• Report on new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
• Report on availability of experienced field service personnel.
• Build positive relationships with customer personnel and recommend solutions.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled major maintenance on high pressure gas lift skid packages.
• Inspect compressors, control systems and engines with diagnostic tools.
• Submit daily maintenance report data.
• Comply with safety, health and environmental laws and policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Respond to engine/compressor/control system failures and diagnose causes.
• Assist in field rebuilding or overhaul of engines, compressors, and controls.
