Job summary

GameStop in Minnesota seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will drive sales, provide best-in-class guest service, and supervise Sales Associates in a fast-paced gaming retail environment.

The role requires leadership, solid knowledge of POS systems, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities within a global retailer.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service; greet guests and assist with gaming needs.
• Support the shopping environment, promotions, and guest relationships.
• Process purchases/returns using the POS system accurately and promptly.
• Respond to guest questions in person or by phone and escalate to Store Manager when needed.
• Promote GameStop benefits and loyalty programs to guests.
• Train and supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in absence of Store Manager.
• Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance for staff before opening/closing shifts.
• Schedule staff to meet guest service and business needs, including breaks.
• Approve payroll adjustments and ensure accurate timekeeping and deposits.
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and proper merchandising per guidelines.
• Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily and manage inventory securely.
• Protect assets with loss-prevention practices and perform bank deposits as required.
