Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino in California seeks a Compliance and Audit professional to oversee regulatory procedures and internal controls outside the daily audit cycle. The role requires supervising staff, preparing audit checklists, and ensuring timely Title 31 reporting.

The incumbent will train team members on compliant practices and coordinate with the Compliance leadership to communicate with the Tribal Gaming Commission, while maintaining records and exception management.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in gaming industry with regulations and audits.
  • Understanding of Title 31 and MICS and related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management.

Responsibilities

  • Redefine hospitality while living, supporting, and promoting Graton Resort & Casino values.
  • Review compliance procedures regulated by authorities and Graton's Internal Controls outside daily audits.
  • Supervise department and run reports.
  • Prepare audit checklist outlining and attesting to required procedures.
  • Prepare and review all exceptions from audits and ensure proper responses.
  • Ensure Title 31 reports are filed within required time frames.
  • Provide Title 31 training to team members to ensure proper procedures.
  • Update and maintain an exception schedule to identify repeated issues and drive training.
  • Assist department heads with training in problem areas.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance Manager and Director for correspondence with the Graton Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Maintain property records, box logs, and locations of all boxes.
  • Note: duties may be changed or expanded by management.
