Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate training and cross-training for auditors.

Job description

Entry-level management that directly oversees the Revenue Auditors. The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounting Supervisor ensures the accurate recording, verifying, allocating, and posting of transactions according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and established policies and procedures. This position assists the Accounting Manager in ensuring compliance with the Graton Gaming Commission's Minimum Internal Control Standard (MICS) and Graton's System of Internal Controls.

Essential Functions:

  • 1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
  • 2. Ensure adherence to all confidentiality requirements regarding all information, verbal or documented, which have been provided directly or indirectly.
  • 3. Ensure integrity in all aspects of the processes and perform assignments in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • 4. Attend and participate in all department meetings, training sessions, and other sessions as directed by management.
  • 5. Perform as a team player in a team oriented environment to ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks and audits. Consistently push self and others on audit team to achieve results.
  • 6. Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including filing, reviewing audits and post journal entries, statistical reports, prepare and distribute daily revenue reports, maintain records and documents, ensure all files are up-to-date, assist with month end process, prepare reconciliations, tax payments and additional duties as assigned.
  • 7. Effectively solve difficult problems and delegate tasks as needed.
  • 8. Understand the purpose and structure of various audit processes, quickly adapt changes in those processes and effectively communicate to auditors.
  • 9. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating job rotation/cross training.
  • 10. Responsible for training and training schedules, and ensuring that auditors are properly trained.
  • 11. Responsible for hiring and firing, setting performance goals and project deadlines.
  • 12. Address problems with work quality, track progress and provide constructive feedback while being approachable.
  • 13. Conduct performance reviews, motivate team and create strategies to boost productivity.
  • 14. Communicate professionally with various department manages, practice excelent written and verbal communication with other departments and management.
  • 15. Adhere to all personnel and department policies and procedures and ensure auditors do so, as well.
  • 16. Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record; available to work at times extending beyond regularly-scheduled hours.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • 2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 3. Must obtain and maintain all necessary gaming licensing.
  • 4. Must be able to interact with others and maintain and positive and professional demeanor under frequently fast paced work conditions.
  • 5. Must be able to meet all assigned deadlines.
  • 6. Must have good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • 7. Must be attentive to detail, results driven, a good problem solver and have the ability to make good decisions.
  • 8. Must have patience, be approachable, a good listener, and able to motivate others.
  • 9. Must be able to adapt quickly to any changes that may arise and be able to promptly find a resolution.
  • 10. Must be proficient with Windows operating system and competent in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to pass an Excel test.
  • 11. Must know 10-key.
  • 12. Must be flexible with daily responsibilities and work schedule; able to work holidays, weekends and a 10 hour shift.
  • 13. Gaming audit experience or casino operations experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • 14. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not necessary.
  • 15. Willing to learn all areas of accounting.

Physical Requirements:

  • 1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • 2. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • 3. Must be able to sit of the duration of shift.
  • 4. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

$70,000 Annually
