Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manager, Application Developer in Melbourne, FL to lead a team of full‑stack developers within the Palantir Foundry platform. You will guide architecture, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on when needed to deliver enterprise solutions.

The role emphasizes UI/UX, data-driven design, and scalable workflows, dashboards, and APIs. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, enterprise system experience, and a passion for efficient, secure software delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, develop, and manage a team of full-stack application developers responsible for delivering enterprise applications within the Palantir Foundry platform.
Serve as a hands‑on technical leader by providing architectural guidance, mentoring developers, reviewing solution designs, resolving complex technical challenges, and contributing directly to application development when needed to support delivery priorities.
Establish technical direction, development standards, coding practices, and application architecture to ensure scalable, secure, maintainable, and high‑quality solutions.
Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of user‑facing applications, workflows, dashboards, APIs, data pipelines, and ontology‑driven solutions.
Establish and promote UI/UX design standards and best practices, ensuring applications provide intuitive, accessible, and consistent user experiences while partnering with business stakeholders to continuously improve usability and adoption.
Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of application development activities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational plans, and delivery commitments.
Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and IT leadership to define requirements and deliver scalable, data‑driven solutions.
Drive continuous improvement of development processes, software engineering practices, application performance, and operational efficiency.
Lead technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex application, data integration, and platform issues spanning multiple business functions.
Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards for security, governance, usability, performance, and reliability.
Manage team staffing, performance, coaching, career development, hiring, and resource planning while fostering a collaborative, customer‑focused, and high‑performing team culture
Communicate technical strategy, project status, delivery risks, and operational performance to leadership and executive stakeholders.
Develop and maintain application standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and development best practices while supporting the ongoing evolution of enterprise application and analytics capabilities.
