Job summary

Humana is seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern web applications. You will provide technical leadership across the full stack, partnering with product, design, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#, and PostgreSQL, along with strong leadership and collaboration in a highly cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering or related field
• 2+ years in a lead or senior full stack role
• Strong hands-on with React, Next.js, TypeScript, C# / .NET, PostgreSQL
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or service-based architectures
• Understanding of front-end architecture, state management, and responsive UI
• Understanding of back-end design, service orchestration, and database design
• Experience with testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
• Experience in Agile product delivery environments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#, PostgreSQL
• Architect scalable, secure solutions across front-end and back-end systems
• Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes
• Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day guidance
• Drive technical decisions for architecture, API design, integration, and database modeling
• Optimize performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer experience
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and deployment
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and operational standards
• Contribute to roadmap planning, estimation, technical discovery, and delivery execution
