Job summary

Humana is seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern, scalable web applications. This role provides technical leadership across the full stack, partnering closely with product, design, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#, and PostgreSQL, along with strong leadership skills and a passion for building resilient, user-centered software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years proven experience in a lead or senior full stack engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with: React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#/ .NET, PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and modern service-based architectures.
• Strong front-end and back-end design understanding; responsive UI development.
• Experience with Agile product delivery.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of full stack applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#, and PostgreSQL.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions across front-end and back-end systems.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
• Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day technical guidance.
• Drive technical decision-making for application architecture, API design, system integration, and database modeling.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to support CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Contribute to roadmap planning, estimation, technical discovery, and delivery execution.
