Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to shape our digital banking platform. You will code, design scalable web apps, and lead cloud‑native services using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript. Collaborate with Product, UX, and Architecture teams to drive architectural excellence.

You will mentor engineers, define API standards, and elevate development practices while ensuring high availability and secure delivery in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a senior engineer, technical lead, or architecture‑focused role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java (17+ preferred) and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST API development, microservices, and Angular/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead full‑stack development across web, API, and microservice architectures.
• Build modern UIs with Angular and TypeScript.
• Develop cloud‑native services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define API standards and OpenAPI/Swagger integration patterns.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural reviews.
