Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer for the AI Data Platform Team in Minnesota. You will provide technical leadership, design scalable full-stack capabilities, and drive agent development, orchestration, evaluation, observability, sandboxing, and production execution.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, UX, Data Science, and Architecture to deliver enterprise-grade AI/ML platform services and tooling while ensuring security and governance across cloud-native

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of full stack software engineering with technical leadership.
• Strong programming in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
• Experience building frontend with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with AI/ML or GenAI applications using LLMs or agents.
• Designing scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture across teams.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, security, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of scalable full-stack solutions for agent orchestration and evaluation.
• Build lifecycle management, context/memory, tool integration, and sandbox execution capabilities.
• Create intuitive experiences for building and managing AI agents and workflows.
• Integrate LLMs, AI agents, enterprise tools, and external systems with guardrails.
• Develop platform APIs, SDKs, and developer tools for AI-powered applications.
• Develop evaluation and observability capabilities including metrics, tracing, and dashboards.
• Ensure enterprise standards for security, governance, privacy, and reliability.
