Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Global Technology Infrastructure Platform in New Jersey. You will be part of an agile team delivering secure, scalable, trusted technology products and solutions across multiple business functions.

The role emphasizes hands-on software development, code review, and driving AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, delivery speed, and resilience. Strong cloud-native experience and secure coding are essential.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in one or more programming languages.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Deep understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
Experience with cloud-native environments and AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of applications and systems.
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectures and designs.
Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies and best practices in software engineering.
Supports a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with standardized validation and reuse of patterns.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve value and automation.
