Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Design Release Engineer (Fuel Systems) in Auburn Hills, MI. You will design, validate, and release fuel system components, lead APQP activities, and work with suppliers, manufacturing, and program teams to resolve technical issues.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 2–5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2-5 years of experience as a Design Release Engineer, Product Engineer, or Component Engineer.
• Experience with fuel systems including tanks, pumps, delivery modules, or DEF/urea tanks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release fuel system components.
• Lead APQP activities and support product validation throughout development.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, testing labs, CAE engineers, and program teams to resolve technical issues.
• Drive quality improvements, cost optimization, weight reduction, and production readiness.
• Communicate project status and support engineering standard release processes.
